Welcome to the Lexington County Foster and Adoptive Parents Association's website! We are happy you have taken the time to stop by and see what our organization has to offer you.
We have put together some information you may need regarding foster and adoptive parenting in our wonderful county. We have several links that will direct you to relevant services; such as upcoming events, trainings, and information to include how to become a foster or adoptive parent. Our organization works to help educate and advocate for our many foster and adoptive parents in Lexington County. Our open enrollment for any licensed foster and/or adoptive parent in Lexington County is from January to March each year, unless you become a newly licensed home during the year. Then you have sixty (60) days from then to join the Association.
The LCFAPA is a registered 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible (consult your tax advisor for applicable rules). We also develop fundraising opportunities throughout the year to help us achieve the goals of the Association.
To provide support and training to the Foster and Adoptive Parents of Lexington County and the children they serve. To promote awareness of the needs of these children within our community and to encourage recruitment
of homes. To strive to support the State Association in bringing about positive changes in legislation
to protect the foster children of our state.
